On October 14, 2021, the Parliament of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation unanimously adopted the decree aimed at promoting sports ethics and establishing an Ethics Observatory for physical and sports activities, as well as an ethics network.

This decree aims to reinforce the norms and values of sports ethics in the attitudes, behaviors, mode of organization, and functioning of the actors and structures within the organized sports movement.

The LF3 (French-speaking Triathlon League) has published an ethics charter that establishes the framework for good conduct in the practice of triathlon and all its related sports (multisports). This charter aims to promote and preserve sportsmanship and the values common to the world of sports in general, and triathlon in particular. It serves as a reference document that allows everyone to know their rights but also their duties in order to include triathlon and all related disciplines in the list of healthy, respectful, and inclusive passions.

The BTC (Brussels Triathlon Club) has appointed an ethics delegate, a liaison person responsible for integrating the components of sports ethics into the sporting and extra-sporting operations within the BTC. This delegate is also responsible, by the ethics decree, to verify "that any person employed by the federation or association to which he belongs and engaged in the animation or supervision of minors has duly transmitted, at the time of his engagement, the extract from the criminal record referred to in Article 596, paragraph 2 of the Code of Criminal Instruction".

Ethics Delegate within the BTC: Stéphane Delvaux
Trusted Persons: Camille Wangermez and Ralph Wischermann

Anyone witnessing or experiencing inappropriate behavior can contact the ethics delegate or a trusted person of the BTC or contact the ethics council of the LF3 directly so that follow-up can be ensured.
